DHL Express typically delivers documents and parcels from the UK to the UAE within 1–3 working days, though we’ll confirm the exact timeframe for your shipment when you get a quote. We can also arrange air freight for larger or heavier shipments if your consignment is too big or heavy for DHL Express’s parcel network.

DHL Express to Dubai: what you can send, and the paperwork you need

Most business documents, samples and general cargo can travel by DHL Express to the UAE. A commercial invoice, a certificate of origin and transport documentation (an airway bill) are the core paperwork DHL and UAE customs ask for; we prepare these with you as part of the booking. UAE import duty is typically around 5% of the goods’ value, plus 5% VAT on most imports, though rates depend on the goods and can change — we’ll confirm the likely cost when we quote your shipment. As with all our international services, we cannot carry dangerous goods, liquids, foodstuffs, weapons, alcohol, flowers or animal products; the UAE also applies its own product standards to some categories, and we’ll flag if that affects your shipment.
